Today’s question:

Is there a fictitious town in a book that you would love to live in? What makes it appealing?

Besides Hogwarts? I would love to live in the Shadowrun World. What’s Shadowrun? it’s a tabletop RPG that also has novels based on it. Their world is dark, gritty and there’s lots of cyberpunk influences, cities all filled up with lights but it’s dark at the same time (these gifs are from Blade Runner, but it’s similar to the world of Shadowrun):

Complete with flying cars and electronic billboards with massive advertisements. Maybe it’s because I have a great love for Synthwave music, and cyberpunk themes but this is one world I would love to live in.

How about you guys?!! let me know so we can discuss! have a great reading weekend!

How many book clubs do you belong to? If you do belong to an in-person book club, do you have meetings in the day or evening? Do you meet at someone’s house or meet at a local restaurant or coffee house?

Answer: Neither. I am not a book club person. Don’t get me wrong if I find someone and we both read the same thing and we can start fangirling and gushing about how awesome a book is…or how awesome some handsome dashing character and how we want to be swept away with him in the wind (ahem..Nikolai) but I am not the type to join up in a club and plan a book to read and discuss. Perhaps it’s because it’s just too close to those awful memories I had when I was younger in high school where we were forced to read god awful books and discuss them. Blah.

However, I’m sure they’re fun and great to be in.

How about you guys? you in a book club or not? why?

Have a great Easter weekend and happy reading!!

And why not? you’re going into a huge fight that might potentially be fatal. Might as well look dashing as a corpse too right? not only do you look good but you’re also regarded as a hero. Sounds like a win win to me πŸ˜‰

And those my lovelies are my three quotes! hope you had fun like I did! if you do decide to do this please please let me know! I’d love to know what you all have come up with!

Day 2’s quote is from the beautiful Prince Lestat himself:

Lestat is one of my favorite fictional characters and one of my favorite fictional vampires. Plus I love Anne Rice books (the vampire ones in particular).

He’s got quite a few quotes that have to do with the ‘Savage Garden’ (not the band!) but this one is wonderful. He refers to life and things in it as the Savage Garden; where the world is a mixture of cruelty and beauty. It’s so Lestat and describes him to a tee.

Who’s got some good vampire quotes for me?!?!?! let me know if you have any and from where. Maybe it’s from a book I haven’t read yet πŸ™‚

Those that want to participate in this meme please join! it’s fun to discover new quotes!

So! here’s my quote for today:

Quotefancy-1763969-3840x2160.jpg

I love love LOVE William Shakespeare. Hamlet is my favorite play and I believe this phrase comes from it. (From Polonius when he’s giving fatherly advice to Laertes)

It’s sound advice, in plain english it goes like this: Listen to many, speak to a few.

Sometimes it’s always best to listen before giving advice or an opinion. I find, people would rather have someone to talk to than to listen to others. It’s easier to just talk and rant about your issues but listening is a skill to be learned. πŸ™‚

Today’s question:

Off the book topic…do you use a mouse pad? If so, what is on it?

I don’t use a mousepad. No need to. Because I have MY GAMING MOUSE THAT CAN DESTROY WORLDS!! MUAHAHAHA!

*cough*

okay..sorry. But yes it’s a gaming mouse so it doesn’t need a mouse pad. Works like a gem and it changes colors too.

Today’s Question:

Do you read hardcovers with the dust jacket on or off? Why or why not?

I read them without the dust jacket because I like em nekkkid hahaha!

No seriously I take the dust jacket off because I don’t like them all bent, ripped and torn. I like my books immaculate. (God help you if I lent you a book and you return it to me with the spines bent, pages torn and you didn’t use a BOOKMARK!!!)

Have a happy reading weekend everyone!! time to get cracking and start reading more!
