Sunday Salon – The City of Ember

So I’ve been reading The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau for the first half of the day and so far so good. Lina is putting together the pieces of the “Instructions” and figuring out the puzzle. I find it a strange setting. A setting where you live in a city but it’s always dark. There’s only artifical light. Everything else surrounding your city is all shrouded into darkness and no one ever goes out because people who have, just never return. Scary isn’t it? So supplies and food are starting to dwindle in the city of Ember. I kinda like this book. It does make good for light reading and it looks like a quick read. However I’m going to set it aside for now and start reading The Meaning of Night for the rest of the evening. I’ll be blogging my last Sunday Salon before I go to bed. 🙂
