Okbo Lover

Hahah. No my name is not Okbo. It’s quite a story of how I came up with this: I was with the hombre (aka Nny, or insignificant other, or man of my dreams if he buys me a lot of books) and we were at some store walking around with nothing to do. I picked up one of those little kiddie activity learning books and was doing a word scramble exercise. There was this word: “OKBO” so here I was standing like an idiot with this kiddie book in my hands wondering what the hell that word could be.  Nny came behind me and said: “BOOK” and my dim light bulb lit up. Embarassed yes, at least I somehow made someone’s day more entertaining (Nny was laughing about this and making fun of me the entire day and ever since).

So yes, I love books. I have a lot of them lying around at home. Every week I bring home at least 1-4 books from the thrift store or from the library. My taste goes from fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, mysteries (of the historical kind most of the time), classics, and if any but very little, contemporary fiction. I always want to broaden my horizons with books and try different ones. I had a love for books since I was a little girl. My mom would read to me a lot, my dad would read with me, and I would always have a book in my hands wherever I went. I carry two books in my bag; one I’m reading currently and the other is just an emergency book just in case I forget the first one. So, you have a general idea that I have a great love for books and reading.

Anyway,  I decided to start a book blog because I figured, why not?.  So yeah, that’s…it. Enjoy your stay.

Oh, right…I do have a habit of offering desserts along with my reviews…don’t mind me it’s just I like to bake a lot.
